INTERNET PERFORMANCE:
The EXPLORER 100 and AddValue Wideye BGAN terminals offered by Outfitter Satellite provide fast portable internet access with speeds up to 384 kbps download and 240 kbps upload.

BGAN VOICE COMMUNICATION:
The EXPLORER 100 has an optional RJ-11 terminal adapter for standard phone equipment. The Wideye has a built in RJ-11 port. This is great for users at a remote lodge or other fixed-site location without conventional phone service. Just connect your standard phone equipment to the RJ-11 port.

CURRENT COVERAGE IN ALASKA:
BGAN service reaches significant parts of Alaska (see coverage map to the right), though the geosynchronous satellite is positioned low over the southern horizon so tall verticle obstructions can obstruct the signal. Areas where your view of the satellite is blocked by mountains or other other obstructions will not have coverage, even if coverage is indicated by the map.
